I’m starting a skin series and to start us off I’m talking Basal Cell Carcinomas - BCCs. Basal Cell Carcinoma is the most common type of skin cancer in the UK. The good news? It grows slowly and is highly treatable when detected early. What does it look like? BCC can appear in several ways: • A pearly or skin-coloured bump • A flat, scaly patch that may look like eczema • A sore that doesn’t heal • A shiny pink or red area with visible blood vessels It most commonly appears on sun-exposed areas
