Google has plugged a known loophole that allowed Android users to access background playback without a Premium subscription.
Google is reportedly using YouTube errors, preventing video playback, to get users to disable ad blockers in their browsers.
Google’s forum post says that while SRV3 is disabled, creators will not be able to upload new SRV3 captions. Videos that already have them may not show any captions until the feature is restored.
