Gas prices have hit their highest level since the start of the Iran war, jumping to over $4 per gallon in Ohio. The statewide average for gas prices as of April 29 was $4.221, according to AAA, up 13 cents from the previous day and 43 cents from last week.
Prices at the pump have seemingly eased in roughly half the country since last week.
The national average gas price rose to $4.39 per gallon, in its biggest one-day jump since a ceasefire with Iran was announced on April 7.
